Year End Wrap Up!

Ok, I have been quite remiss with updating the Blog. But for those of you who have been following me and Accessible Gourmet this year…it has been a crazy, exciting and wonderful year. In addition to recently moving to Chagrin Falls, I have taken up a new job as VP/COO of a private food manufacturing company in Cleveland, and hope to create some great food for all of us to enjoy.

Also, my book, “A Cook at Heart” enjoyed its first full year in publication this past June. Over 600 copies had been sold…which is great as I don’t know more than 50 people personally whom I could pressure into buying a copy of my book (let alone over 12 books each!). Book 2, “Cooking from the Heart” is slow in coming, but I haven’t given up.

As far as events…look for me at my final cooking class in the 3 part series offered at The Cuyahoga Library in Beachwood, this December 12. Also, I am coordinating my appearance at the Home and Garden Show 2009 for book appearances in February, sponsored by Gray & Co. Additionally, I will be conducting a cooking class for Kids in the Kitchen in March 2009.

The Fabulous Food Show

I just finished presenting at the Cleveland Fabulous Food Show at the IX Center on November 11th. What a great time! The Plain Dealer sponsored me to be among the handful of local Chefs selected to conduct food demonstrations in front of crowds of over 50 people! I presented a Peruvian Salmon Ceviche as well as a grilled Portobello and Mache salad with Roasted Tomato Vinaigrette. It went great, and I have already been asked to present next year. I was too busy to even meet Alton Brown or Giada or even Duff – Ace of Cakes. Maybe next time!
